I try to smile

its my birthday soon,

I've been wishing on the stars and the moon,

but nothing answers my prayers,

cause your not here or there,

I miss you more than ever,

I sometimes hide it or never,

bring it up cause im trying to be strong,

but it hasn't been so long,

since you've been gone,

it was as quick as the dawn,

I try to smile away the pain,

like the sunshine after the rain,

and I try to tell myself to be brave,

and save,

the tears for when no one can see,

I just miss you with me.
