He preached for civil rights,
To help his people get through another night,
He brought people courage and hope ,
Inspiration of hope helped them cope,
He had a dream,
As he noticed life wasn’t as it seems,
He was a leader in the march,
To curve peoples opinionated arch,
He made strides,
gave his people pride,
He gave colored people freedom,
As people believed and needed him.
