What was once there
What once was there now is a scar,
From a mind in such conflict, it was at war,
My mind was so damaged my skin was hurting,
Haunting shadows were lurking ,
And my body and soul were in pain,
I got no release of relief nothing but drops of rain,
It went on for what seemed like forever,
Who knew it could end, I never ,
Thought it could end,
But then my mind and arms started to mend,
It was numb for a while,
Couldn’t feel anything or get through like a tone dial ,
Now it’s just a long distant memory of the past,
A symbolism that no pain ever lasts
