It takes time

It takes me longer to understand the way you speak,

But that doesn’t mean I’m weak,

It takes me forever to realize what you meant by that,

But that doesn’t make me a brat,

Maybe once isn’t gonna cut it ,for an explanation,

It protects me from my Salvation ,

Maybe you need to dissect it to the bone,

Till I understand the tone,

I’m sorry I might not get it , right away ,right now,

I don’t know how my Brain works , I don’t know how,

It doesn’t pick up fast,

But I promise you once it does ,it will last,

I promise when you take the time to explain it to me,

I’ll get it right away , you’ll see,

It might be hard to believe that it’s true,

But I’ll eventually get to understand you.
